Application

Cables designated as LiYY are unscreened flame-retardant multicore PVC cables for indoor signal and data transmission in indoor industrial applications such as computer systems, measuring equipment and process control devices in offices, laboratories and production lines under low mechanical and tensile stress. This range is particularly well suited to applications requiring a cable with a small overall diameter.
LiYY cables with a cross-section of up to 0.14mm² have a voltage rating of 350V. Larger cross-sections have a voltage rating of 500V. They have an operating range from -40^oC to +80^oC in fixed installations and -5^oC to +50^oC when flexed.

LiYY cables are also available up to 36 cores as standard.

LIYY TP

The LiYY Cable is available with twisted pairs configuration. Twisted pairs (TP) are used to cancel out any electromagnetic interference from external sources or crosstalk from neighbouring pairs.
For all types of European automation cable there are low smoke zero halogen variations including LiHH and LiHCH.

• Class 5 or Class 6 (LifYY) bare or tinned copper flexible conductor, where they are applicable, conforming to IEC 60228 requirements.
• Standard TI2 type PVC insulation conforming to EN 50363-3 requirements, or fire-retardant R2 type PVC conforming to EN 50363-0 requirements (LiYY-A), 105°C rated PVC (LiYY-A), solid polyethylene (Li2YY), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), solid polypropylene (Li9YY), cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO) or halogen-free thermoplastic compound (LiHH).
• Standard TM2 type PVC outer sheath conforming to EN 50363-4-1 requirements, or fire-retardant PVC (LiYY-A), 105°C rated PVC (LiYY-W), cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO), halogen-free thermoplastic compound (LiHH) or polyurethane (LiY11Y).
