At IFA 2023, AVM FRITZ! will be presenting a range of new products that are expected to launch in the coming months.

The transition from DSL to fibre optic is more imminent than ever, and FRITZ! is not holding back. Enter the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, an all-in-one, future-proof router that accommodates not just DSL, but also the advancing fibre optic technology. With built-in support for Wi-Fi 7, Zigbee, DECT, and a robust gigabit LAN, this model is the epitome of next-gen connectivity. And it doesn’t end there. The device also facilitates tri-band mesh routing on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and a pioneering 6 GHz frequency, clocking data rates of up to a staggering 18.5 Gbit/s. If you've got an array of smart devices at home, the router's Zigbee integration ensures seamless control over lighting, heating, and even upcoming Matter standard-based applications.

FRITZ! is also introducing an intuitive user interface for their fibre optic line-up. With FRITZ!Box Fiber, users can keep a real-time tab on their connection’s quality, speed, and even historical performance. This technology aims to bring together all your digital needs—be it streaming, IP telephony, or smart home solutions—into one integrated, energy-efficient device. How efficient, you ask? Well, think about 40% power saving as opposed to running a separate modem and router.

The world is barely getting used to Wi-Fi 6, and FRITZ! is already pushing the boundaries with Wi-Fi 7. Their FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro and 6670 Cable models are slated to support the future IEEE 802.11be standard, opening the doors to unprecedented data throughput and latency. This is not just an upgrade; it's an evolution aimed at enabling real-time applications like cloud computing, virtual reality, and gaming at an entirely new level.

So, your home has too many walls? The FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX is here to solve that. This device is tailor-made for FRITZ!Mesh, guaranteeing data delivery at speeds of up to 1200 Mbit/s over your existing power lines and 600 Mbit/s via Wi-Fi 6. Whether it's streaming videos in your garden house or setting up a gaming rig in your basement, seamless connectivity is now just a click away.

FRITZ! is not just limiting its innovations to networking; it's also taking strides in the smart home arena. The newly introduced FRITZ!DECT 350 sensor offers immediate detection of door or window states, allowing users to create energy-efficient routines effortlessly. Furthermore, upcoming Matter and Zigbee integration will let users control smart devices across multiple brands through a unified interface.

Being conscious about energy consumption is easier than ever with the new analytic features on FRITZ!DECT 200 and 210. These plugs not only display real-time consumption data but also offer long-term analysis through MyFRITZ!Net. To make the user experience even smoother, FRITZ! is launching intuitive wizards on their MyFRITZ!App, making the set-up and transition to a new FRITZ!Box a breeze.

Not to be left behind, the FRITZ!App suite is also receiving noteworthy upgrades. From a video door opener feature in FRITZ!App Fon to Wi-Fi 7 support in FRITZ!App WLAN, these apps aim to make smart living even smarter.

Whether it’s networking or smart home automation, FRITZ! seems to be laying down the gauntlet for what the future holds. Based on the line-up they showcased at IFA, it’s clear that they are not just evolving with technology; they’re shaping it.
